Mahabarata: A

King Shantu and Ganga  http://iereadingguides.blogspot.com/2015/05/free-book-mackenzie-indian-myth-and.html, Donald Mackenzie

I personally understand why king shantu broke his promise.. he waited patiently until the seventh baby was cast into the river too! And plus, I’m assuming he never saw the babies return, so for all he knew, they died in the river. On the bright side, she brought one of their children back. Ι am wondering which child that is though.

Drona  http://iereadingguides.blogspot.com/2015/05/free-book-mackenzie-indian-myth-and.html, Donald Mackenzie

Hearing this story. Add me really sad. Both Drona and Drupada were orphans, it just so happened that Drupada was adopted by a rajah and Drona was adopted by a brahmin (teacher). I would really like to write s story in this, Drupada is written to be very arrogant in this part of the Mahabarata. He compares what they have rather than how they think, and because Drona is not wealthy, they are no longer compatible in Drupada’s eyes.
